Message from the Chairperson and CEO

Since its establishment in 1915, the Takashima Group has built a history spanning more than 100 years, guided by the belief that "a company is a public entity of society" and committed to the mission of "contribute to society through our business activities." We have always valued a corporate culture of engaging sincerely with our customers and creating reliable added value in the field.

We are currently at a major turning point. We have shifted from our conventional solid “defensive” stance to a “sustainable growth company” through strategic investments focused on capital efficiency, and have steadily enhanced our “earning power” through the previous medium-term management plan, “Sustainability V.”

In 2026, Takashima transitioned to a new joint management structure with an eye toward further growth and passing the baton to the next generation. As representative director Chairperson CEO, I will leverage the experience I have cultivated to fulfill the role of “centripetal force,” including instilling our corporate philosophy and developing human resources, while promoting external communications.

Under the New Medium-Term Management Plan 2028, “Sustainability + Spiral (Sustainability Positive Spiral),” we will make achieving ROE of 8% or higher and a permanently above-one-times PBR our management responsibilities, and strongly promote value creation management with an awareness of cost of capital and stock price. As an “advanced sustainability-focused trading company,” we will further enhance our 100 years of trust and contribute to the development of a sustainable society.

We sincerely ask for your continued support.

Message from the President and COO

I am Akira Yamamoto, who assumed office as representative director and president in June 2026.

Over its more than 100-year history, the Takashima Group has built a strong reputation for trust, while making “speed and agility” in responding swiftly to changes in the times its greatest strength. To date, I have led the transformation of the Construction Supply business into a “functional trading company” that provides unique added value beyond mere wholesale operations, including a shift toward construction contracting. As president, I will further advance this sustainable management.

Under the new Medium-Term Management Plan 2028, “Sustainability + Spiral (Sustainability Positive Spiral),” we will create a “sustainable virtuous cycle” by ensuring the recovery of past investments and linking them to the next round of reinvestment. While Chairperson Takashima provides the “centripetal force” of our philosophy and DNA, I, as President and COO, will drive the “centrifugal force” that enables us to swiftly advance new business development and organizational reform, thereby accelerating the growth of the Group.

Under our basic policies of "promote management conscious of cost of capital and corporate value," "create a positive cycle of investment," and "sustainable production of valuable human assets," we will expand our functional capacity by utilizing a strategic investment framework of approximately 10 billion yen. We will further refine the strategic themes of "labor-saving," "resource-saving," and "renewable-energy" through our on-site capabilities, and continue to strive toward a major leap forward as a functional trading company in 2030.

We sincerely ask for your continued warm support.
